St. Andrew is encouraging more participation in the refreshing experience of Highland Holy Days at the Westminster Spires Campgrounds. Members of other congregations of the Yellowstone Presbytery are being invited to join us for this year’s celebration taking place on Labor Day Week-end at the beginning of September. A special program with the theme of Shalom is being designed for adults and a children’s program is being featured.

Many already know that Shalom is a Hebrew word meaning "Peace". Shalom is used to both greet people and to bid them farewell, but it means much more than "peace, hello or goodbye". Shalom also means completeness, wholeness, health, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, and the absence of agitation or discord. Jesus is called Sar shalom, Prince of Peace.

Shalom session topics will include:

  • What Do We Mean When We Say "Peace?"
  • What They Meant by Shalom in Israel
  • Wholeness, Health and Harmony: God's Intention
  • God of Peace & God of War?
  • Divison, Illness & Conflict: The World as We Know It
  • Good News from God!
  • Christ Brings Peace with God to the Believer and the Church

There will be time to do fishing and hiking along with taking in the sights of the Red Lodge, the Beartooth pass and Westminster spires.

Please join us for Highland Holy Days to enjoy the peace of Shalom in the beauty of the Beartooth Mountains south of Red Lodge. The cost is $30 for the full experience with meals. Please add $5.00 for craft supplies. Sunday only worship and lunch is $5.00. Please click on the link above for a signup form. The form may be completed online by using the typewriter function button at the top of the form or you can print out the form, complete it by hand and mail it.
